Services & Learning
Services & Learning
Shaarei Shomayim offers many opportunities for meaningful prayer and learning for the entire community.
Special highlight programming includes Shabbatons, holiday-specific classes and lectures, and the annual women’s megillah reading on Purim and Sukkot.
Each of our classes and services reflects our values. Torah life and learning are meant to be joyous. They are essential to who we are and what we do.
A participant in our daily morning Talmud class wrote the following...
Come for the coffee, stay for the learning and the camaraderie.
There is no better way to start your morning than learning and davening.
Our shiur is different than most. Questions are encouraged. There is no game clock. We learn and share at our own pace.
We have a diversified group of regular attendees from multiple professional fields. Medicine, law, engineering, finance, accounting and others.
Try it once, you will soon be hooked. All are welcome.
We have completed the following masechtot since August 2008:
- Shabbat
- Makot
- Sanhedrein
- Moed Katan
- Baba Kama
- We are now learning Divrei Hayamim
