Welcome to Shaarei Shomayim, a Modern Orthodox community of approximately 700 families, located in the heart of midtown Toronto and within the eruv. We stand for Torah, the Jewish people and the State of Israel; we are constantly building a shul community.

Welcome Rabbi & Rebbetzin Taylor

Shaarei Shomayim is pleased to welcome Rabbi Sam Taylor as our new Senior Rabbi, along with his wife Emma Taylor and their four children. His position begins September 1, 2022. We are thrilled that we have found a Rabbi and Rebbetzin who are such an excellent fit for our shul. For Rabbi Taylor's full bio, CLICK HERE.

Shaarei Shomayim continues to be open for services.
The Downstairs Minyan will be moving to the tent as of May 28. Weather permitting, the minyan will be taking place in the tent until further notice. We encourage those who are not comfortable attending an indoor minyan to take advantage of this opportunity to join us for tefillot during the summer months. The minyan in the Sharp Sanctuary will continue to be family friendly; masks are strongly recommended. We request that anyone experiencing symptoms or who has knowingly been exposed to someone with COVID refrain from attending.
