When necessary, Judaism provides a means for divorce.
A religious divorce is called a get. A get must be hand-written by a scribe and given in the presence of witnesses. This process is overseen by a religious court, a Beit Din.

At the conclusion of the get process, documents attesting to the permissibility of both parties to remarry will be issued by the Beit Din - please keep these documents with your permanent records.
